Suggestions for Optimal System Performance

Concourse is a web-only solution. Therefore all you need is an internet-connected computer or device in order to get access to Concourse.

Below is a breakdown of specific software and technical requirements to fully utilize Concourse.

A broadband internet connection will lead to the best experience. However dial-up speeds are also supported.

  • Google Chrome (Recommended)
  • Mozilla Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE8+)

Users have noted success using other browsers, like the Opera and Internet Explorer 7, but we do not guarantee that the site will always work as expected using these.

A minimum screen resolution of 320 pixels wide is required (covers phones and tablets). However higher resolutions (greater than 1024px) will be advantageous particularly when editing syllabi.

Tablets and mobile devices are supported though the presentation will vary depending on the resolution and orientation of the device. Apple's iOS and Google's Android are the preferred platforms for this small screen experience but Windows Phone and Blackberry OS should also work.

JavaScript enhances many elements within the system, and is required for syllabus editing. You can learn how to enable JavaScript for your browser here.

Cookies are required in order to log in to Concourse. If you do not have cookies enabled, you may encounter a CSRF security check failure or you will redirected to the login or another public page. You can learn how to enable cookies for your browser here.

Non-interface Interaction

When using Concourse functionality that doesn't involve the interface, such as automated feeds, the hardware and software requirements are limited by compatibility with our SHA-2 security certificate.
