Concourse is a web-only solution. Therefore all you need is an internet-connected computer or device in order to access Concourse.
Below is a breakdown of technical requirements and recommendations to fully utilize Concourse.

Users have noted success using other browsers or versions, but we do not guarantee that the site will always work as expected using these.
*Safari versions 12 and 13 on MacOS 10.14 and earlier and iOS 12 and earlier have a known issue with the acceptance of cookies that may prevent select users from logging in. We are actively working on an alternate method of authentication, but if you need help, please submit a ticket.
A broadband internet connection will lead to the best experience. However dial-up, DSL, and 3G wireless speeds are supported.
A minimum screen width of 320 pixels wide is required (most phones and tablets). However, higher resolutions (greater than 992 pixels wide) may be advantageous, particularly when editing syllabi or administering the system.
Phones and tablets can be used, though the presentation will vary depending on the resolution and orientation of the device. Apple's iOS and Google's Android are the supported platforms for this small screen experience.
Cookies are required to log in to Concourse. If you do not have cookies enabled, you may encounter a CSRF security check failure or you will redirected to the login or a public view of the syllabus. Additionally, if Concourse is accessed from within another system (e.g. embedded in an LMS), third-party cookies need to be accepted. You can learn how to enable cookies for your browser here.
All Concourse pages are delivered over a secure connection, namely Transport Layer Security (TLS) versions 1.2 and 1.3. All supported browsers noted above include one or both of these protocol options, but special attention should be paid to servers that interact with Concourse for feed processing or APIs.
When using Concourse functionality that doesn't involve the interface, such as automated feeds, the hardware and software requirements are determined by compatibility with our SHA-2 security certificate.
