How is the guest view different than the public view?
Although the public view and guest view are similar, the guest group is separate and can therefore have a different (most likely less limited) view than the public view.
The guest view is for users who are logged into Concourse, but who are not registered for the course that they are viewing. Because of this, some information may still be limited to these users, such as schedule information. At the same time they may be able to see more than a public user, like instructor contact details.
The guest view is a good tool for students who would like to preview syllabi for an upcoming term, because they are able to learn about the basics of the course without being inundated with unnecessary information or exposing content that should otherwise be available to only enrolled students.
